'Faking News: This Just In ... Tools You Can Use to Fight Fake News'

SUDBURY, MA — Having trouble navigating the new world of news that might be real and might not be? Or it might be partly-true, but flawed?
Sudbury Historical Society Trustee and Lesley University Doctoral Student Katina Fontes presents "Faking News: This Just In ... Tools You Can Use to Fight Fake News" on Monday, March 20, at 7 p.m. at the Ephraim Curtis Middle School Auditorium.
At this event, hosted by the Sudbury Historical Society, learn about fake news and how to navigate the post-truth world with the tools and methods of historians. In her presentation, Fontes gives background on the growing trend of fake news in light of new media and introduce the audience to historical method as a tool for analyzing “news” and online sources, according to the announcement.
