Food Drive to Benefit Sudbury Community Food Pantry

Food Pantries Under Tremendous Strain Due To Covid-19

Join your neighbors in supporting the Sudbury Community Food Pantry in its hour of need. Like other food pantries throughout New England the Sudbury Community Food Pantry is under significant strain as many residents and families have lost their incomes due to employment shutdowns associated with the Covid-19 pandemic. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Our Lady of Fatima, a charitable organization devoted to helping our friends and neighbors in their moment of need, is sponsoring a community-wide food drive to replenish the rapidly dwindling food stocks at our local food pantry. In ordinary times the Sudbury Food Pantry supports hundreds of needy families each month. Now the demand is unprecedented. The Pantry needs non-perishable items such as cereals, boxed rice, soups, canned beans, vegetables and fruits, canned pasts, boxed meals and snacks. See the attached flyer for more information. A safe, easy to access and contactless drop-off system will be available at 239 Raymond Road in Sudbury this Wednesday, April 22 from 12 Noon through 3:00 p.m. (Rain date is April 23, same times). Drop your sorted items in the large marked boxes in the circular drive, and off you go! Make a difference in a hungry family's life. No one will notice. Everyone will.
