Former Sierra's Restaurant Up for Auction
The foreclosed property is hitting the auction block, officially ending plans for owners to open up a new eatery in its place.

SUDBURY, MA—After two closings, and two re-openings, Sierra's in Sudbury-or the space it once occupied-is official on the auction block.
It shocked the community when in April of 2013, Acton resident and owners Sam and Erica Cannarozzi suddenly closed the restaurant at 470 North Road after being open for 23 years. Loyal customers were elated when the place reopened that July.
It was shuttered again in 2014 due to taxes owed, taxes the owners hoped to pay off and open a new Italian eatery in early 2015, reported MetroWest Daily News.

The plan is officially off the table, as the former site of Sierra's is going up for auction.
According to the Sudbury Town Crier, Cannarozzi owed $28,000 in real estate taxes, which escalated to $63,849. It was foreclosed with G&D Realty Trust. According to the Town Crier, the auction date was listed as Wednesday, July 28, but an update provided on pesco.com indicates that the auction has been postponed to Sept. 7 of this year due to bankruptcy.
