Gov. Baker Orders Flags at Half-Staff on 9-11

To honor those lost during the tragic bombing 15 years ago, flags are ordered at half staff Sunday.

SUDBURY, MA—Governor Charlie Baker ordered that the United States flag and the Commonwealth flag be lowered to half-staff at all state buildings on Sunday, Sept. 11, in honor of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, in the terrorist attacks as well as Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice in the wars that followed.

The United States flag and the Commonwealth flag shall be flown at half-staff from sunrise until sunset.

  1. The main or administration building of each public institution of the Commonwealth, e.g. town and city halls
  2. Other state-owned or state-controlled buildings
  3. All state military installations
