ICYMI: Sudbury Holds Special Town Meeting to Vote on 7 Articles

Town voters will decide on seven articles, which include approving Trevor Way, use funds to update Town Hall, and update school security.

SUDBURY, MA—Sudbury is holding a Special Town Meeting to address seven warrant articles, ranging in approving a roadway to updating security for the high school to granting a liquor license for a package store.

Article one addresses to acceptance of the layout for Trevor Way. Article two asks the town to raise or appropriate $210,000 for the DPW to buy rolling stock vehicles and equipment. In article three, $95,000 in transfer funds is requested to update the Sudbury town buildings for safety, security and access controls. Article four looks to raise or appropriate $150,000 to update the security system at Lincoln-Sudbury High School.

Moving along to article four, the town is being asked whether it should use $875,000 in funds to replace the artificial turf at the high school. Article six involves granting a license for another liquor store in town, to be located at 435 Boston Post Road. And the final article (seven), is a vote on whether to request that the Planning Board conducts studies on a program that would prohibit new installation of overhead wires or poles in parts of Sudbury.

The Special Town Meeting takes place on Monday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln-Sudbury High School Auditorium. All registered voters are urged to participate.
