Indictment: Kansas Man Tried to Create, Distribute Child Porn With Local Teen
Mark Brull, who was already in a sexual predator treatment program, is accused of trying to entice a 14-year-old into child pornography.

Thanks to the help of the Sudbury Police Department, a Kansas man already receiving treatment for being a sexual predator was arrested and charged with two new sex crimes involving a Sudbury teenager.
"The case was initiated by us," Sudbury Lt. Scott Nix said. "A Sudbury victim was being solicited by him online."

The indictment alleges that while Brull was in Larned State Hospital's Kansas Sexual Predator Treatment Program he communicated with the child and received child pornography on a computer via the Internet.
Nix said Brull was having inappropriate, sexually explicit dialog with the local teen over the Internet, with the help of a third party.

A co-defendant, Ryan Dancosse, 39, of Wichita, is charged with one count of receiving and distributing child pornography. Prosecutors say the crimes happened in April and May 2011.
"Our initial investigation showed the alleged suspect was in custody in Kansas and an outside party was facilitating from outside the facility," Nix said.
Sudbury Det. Stephanie Howe led the investigation.
"Through analysis of equipment here, we were able to convey information to Wichita authorities for the case to be presented there," Nix said.
Brull was involuntarily committed to Larned in 1999 under the Kansas Sexually Violent Predator Act.
If convicted, Brull faces a between 25 and 60 years in federal prison and fines of $500,000. Dancosse will face up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 if he is convicted.
The investigation was conducted by the Kanas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Wichita Police Department and the Sudbury PD.
