Lincoln-Sudbury Student Killed by Train in Newton
Eli Pilat, a freshman, was struck by a commuter rail train Friday night.

The teenage boy struck and killed by a commuter rail train Friday night in Newton has been identified as a Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School freshman.
Eli Pilat, 14, was the victim, according to a letter sent to parents by Lincoln-Sudbury Superintendent and Principal Bella Wong. Wong said counseling will be available for students.
Transit Police said the boy was hit by a Worcester/Framingham commuter rail train at approximately 8:45 p.m. Friday.
