More Than 100 Take Advantage Of Senior Tax Exemption Program In Sudbury
The program is for those 65 and older with moderate means in Sudbury.

SUDBURY, MA—During the summer months, seniors in town who own property and are of moderate means were invited to apply for the innovative program known as “The Sudbury Means Tested Senior Exemption Program."
In the monthly town manager's newsletter, Cynthia Gerry, director of assessing, wrote that the town had received 114 applications, which will be processed for eligibility during September and October.
Anyone who doesn't meet the criteria will be notified in writing.

"Otherwise, I expect the calculated benefit amount will be applied to the applicant’s Jan. 1, 2018, tax bill," wrote Gerry. "Although the Means Tested Senior Exemption Program application cycle is now closed, the application cycle for other exemption and deferral programs will continue through April 1, 2018. We have
brochures and application forms available to download from our website, or you may send an email to request material, or give the office a call."
