THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK tells the story of a 13-year old Jewish girl in hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam during World War II. The winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Tony Award, Critics Circle Award and many other honors, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK is adapted for the stage by Frances Goodrick and Albert Heckett from the book Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl edited by Otto Frank.

“Anne Frank’s story remains timeless, and it was one of my favorites as a child—largely due to its incredible personal insight into a tragic part of world history,” said BCT Executive Artistic Director Burgess Clark, who is also directing the production. “Anne’s unwavering faith in humanity is why I believe the story has been so popular for over 60 years and has come to define and transcend the holocaust. With this being the 70th anniversary of her senseless death, I feel it is our duty to introduce her compelling story to each new generation.”
