Save a Dog Adopt-ables Ready for New Homes After Doggy Makeovers

Seven pups were treated to spa day by Canine Company's Mobile Spa; all are available for adoption now

Sudbury, June 9, 2017 -- Seven of Save a Dog’s adoption candidates were treated to “doggy makeovers” yesterday to get them ready to meet prospective adopters. At-home pet services provider Canine Company brought its mobile pet spa to the Save a Dog shelter here and its professional groomers spent the day shampooing and trimming the pups.

“We’re so appreciative for the professional grooming to help our rescued dogs find homes, said Save a Dog director Shirley Moore. “Much thanks to Canine Company for such labors of love.”

The dogs treated to makeover sessions were:

  • Rumble, a 1-year-old Scotty-Schnauzer mix (in photo);
  • Aussie, a 4-year-old mini Australian shepherd (in photo);
  • Nyla, a 6-year-old Husky mix (in photo);
  • Duke, a 6-month-old Cairn terrier mix (in photo);
  • Martini, an adult Chihuahua;
  • Brayden, a 9-week-old Australian shepherd; and
  • Dandelion, a 2-year-old yellow Lab mix.

This is Canine Company’s second spa day for a Sudbury shelters in the past month. On May 22, the Mobile Pet Spa spent the day at Buddy Dog Humane Society, doing doggy makeovers there.
