See Sudbury Election 2026 Winners: Unofficial Results

SUDBURY, MA — Unofficial results are in for Sudbury's 2026 Annual Town Election, featuring eight races.

Residents went to the polls on Monday to vote on the Select Board, Board of Assessors, Goodnow Library Trustees, Board of Health, Park and Recreation Commission, Planning Board, Sudbury School Committee, and Lincoln-Sudbury Regional District School Committee.

Voting was held from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fairbank Gym, and the town clerk’s office released an unofficial vote count Monday night.

Voter Turnout

There were 3,045 votes cast, which represents 23.83 percent of the town's 12,778 registered voters.

The voter turnout for this election was up 6 percent from last year, as 2,411 votes were cast in the 2025 Annual Town Election.

However, this year's turnout was still lower than 2023 and 2024, when more than 3,300 votes were cast, representing roughly 25 percent of registered voters in Sudbury.

Sudbury School Committee

While there were no official contested elections on the ballot, it was a close race for two open seats on the Sudbury School Committee.

That's after Sudbury resident Jonathan Sullivan launched a write-in campaign for the School Committee earlier this month, while Julie Durgin-Sicree and Ellen Lederer-DeFrancesco were the two candidates on the ballot for those seats.

Sullivan garnered 1,437 votes, losing by an extremely small margin to Ellen Lederer-DeFrancesco, who had 1,452 votes. Julie Durgin-Sicree had 1,566 votes, according to unofficial results.
