Sudbury Board Changes: New Chair, Vice Chair Elected

The Sudbury Board of Selectmen recently made changes to its board.

SUDBURY, MA—On Tuesday night, the Sudbury Board of Selectmen selected Robert Haarde as chair and Len Simon as vice chair for the next year, announced Town Manager Melissa Rodrigues. This is Haarde’s first term as chair.

“I am honored to be selected by my peers as Chairman,” Haarde said in a statement. “We have grown so much as a board over the past two years and I’m proud to serve with such a devoted and able board.”

Haarde is the longest serving member of the Board of Selectmen and Simon is the second longest serving member.

“I’m excited to work with such a great team,” Rodrigues said in a statement. “We have developed such great working relationships during my tenure here and the respect that the board has for each other and for this community is encouraging and motivating.”

Tuesday's meeting was also the first meeting for newly elected Selectman Dan Carty.
