Sudbury Conservation: New Boardwalks; Penalties for Wetlands Violation

The Sudbury Conservation Commission updated the town on its latest efforts.

The Sudbury Conservation Commission plans to begin replacing and building boardwalks and bridges in the Hop Brook and King Philip Conservation land by the end of September.

It’s part of the update issued by the commission, which met several times over the summer.

The commission now uses citations to respond to violations of the Wetlands Bylaw “in an attempt to hold parties responsible for unauthorized work being done in a Wetland Zone. The Conservation Office is always willing to work with homeowners to determine whether they have any Wetland issues prior to doing work on their property.”
