The town said applications will be reviewed and the most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in assessments and multiple interviews.

Employment will depend on satisfactory results from pre-placement requirements, including a background investigation, motor vehicle and criminal background checks, a physical exam, drug screening, psychological screening and a Physical Abilities Test, according to the town.

Successful candidates must remain non-smokers, meet any residency requirements under state law or the town’s collective bargaining agreement and complete the full-time recruit program at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy before the end of their probationary period, according to the town.
