Sudbury's Kate Sisk to Play for Puerto Rico's National Soccer Team

Former Lincoln-Sudbury great will play in the CONCACAF U20 Women's Championships.

Sudbury's Kate Sisk has been named to the U20 Puerto Rico women’s national soccer team as it heads to Cuba to compete in the final stage of Caribbean qualifiers for the 2012 CONCACAF U20 Women’s Championship.

Sisk and Puerto Rico face Cuba, Guyana, and Trinidad and Tobego, January 7-11, in hopes of securing a spot in the CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football) U20 Women’s Championships in Panama from March 1-11.

A sophomore on the Amherst College women’s soccer team, Sisk was recently elected co-captain of next year’s Lord Jeffs squad, which hopes to build on its recent success as undefeated 2011 NESCAC Champion. This season’s 20-1-0 Amherst made it to the 2011 NCAA Division III Elite Eight, falling to eventual NCAA champion Messiah.
