CONCORD, MA: Concord Youth Theatre’s Main Stage Company is pleased to present Alice, Rene Pfister’s and Jan Mankowsky’s imaginative and whimsical musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice in Wonderland. Join Alice as she plummets through a rabbit hole into a fantastic wonderland. There you will encounter many peculiar and entertaining characters including a Cheshire cat, a white rabbit, a mad hatter, a queen of hearts (with a predilection for beheading), a talking caterpillar, a crying carrot, a dancing executioner, Humpty Dumpty, and Tweedle Dee and Dum. Hilarious scenes accompanied with delightful catchy tunes make for an extremely entertaining theatrical experience for all ages. In addition to those pictured, Alice is performed by talented young actors ages 9 and up from Ayer, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Leominster, Lexington, Lincoln, Shirley and Sudbury.
Performances are on May 29, 30 and June 5, 6 at 7:30 pm and May 30, 31 and June 6,7 at 2:30 pm at CYT’s black box theatre on 358 Baker Ave in West Concord. Tickets are $13 each and may be purchased online at www.concordyouththeatre.org. Performances are appropriate for ages 4 and older.
