It has been 20 years since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 took the lives of nearly 3,000 people, including three beloved Sudbury residents. Despite the community’s grief, Sudbury officials and residents immediately came together to support and comfort the families of Geoffrey Cloud, Cora Hidalgo Holland, and Peter Morgan Goodrich. And out the community’s grief grew the September 11th Memorial Garden.

The September 11th Memorial Garden Oversight Committee is honored to share a short film, “September 11th Memorial Garden 20th Anniversary Tribute”, which documents how the Memorial Garden came to be and how much it has meant to Sudbury’s 9/11 families. Stuart Beeby, of Stuart Beeby Photography, generously donated his time and services to produce the video.
All are invited to attend Sudbury’s commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, which will take place on Saturday, September 11th, 8:30 a.m., at the September 11th Memorial Garden in Heritage Park.
