WATCH: Sudbury Officials Release Rescued Hawk

The hawk was released in the same place it was found earlier in the month.

SUDBURY, MA- A hawk was released back into the wild after Sudbury firefighters found it injured.

The hawk was found on Feb. 6 by firefighter Russ Place. Fire officials said it looked like the hawk had a wing injury and was unable to fly. The Animal Rescue Officer was called to help rehabilitate the bird.

The hawk was free to spread his now healthy wings and took full flight during his release on Friday. Sudbury Fire Chief John Whalen captured the release on video and posted it to the department's Twitter page, take a look:
