SUDBURY, MA — The construction of Whole Foods Market at the old Raytheon site in Sudbury is "moving along," according to a recent announcement from Building Inspector Mark Herweck.
Permits were issued for the demolition of two of the buildings, and construction and inspections are continuing with a target opening of July.
Whole Foods Market announced in November of 2015 that the store newly being developed in Sudbury will serve as a relocation of the current Whole Foods Market store in Wayland. Whole Foods Market Sudbury will be located in the new Meadow Walk Sudbury development at 528 Boston Post Road in Sudbury. The new store will be approximately 40,000 square feet and employ around 225 locally hired, full and part time team members. The permit for construction was issued in October of 2016.
