Willis Lake Closer to Being Deemed 'Safe'
Harmful bacteria was found in Willis Lake last week. Authorities are conducting tests to confirm it is safe again.

Last week, authorities found once again that harmful green algae existed in Willis Lake, warning residents to keep themselves and pets out of the water.

The advisory, however, will remain in effect until two readings determining the levels are safe take place. That second testing takes place on Monday, Sept. 21.
