A Rude Tenant and a Big Raccoon
The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police logs. Where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, April 28
- At 12:18 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at 293 Humphrey Street. It was unknown if there were any injuries.
- At 10:24 p.m., a man walked into the police station and reported that his daughter, who lives with her mother, broke into his locked desk and stole money while visiting his Paradise Road home.
Monday, April 29
- At 8:23 a.m., police received a report of a motor vehicle accident at 5 Pierro Terrace. The fire department was notified.
- At 1:36 p.m., a car was towed after a stop near Soveriegn Bank, 495 Paradise Road. It was towed due to a revoked registration, a result of insurance cancellation.
- At 5:38 p.m., an ongoing tenant/landlord issue was reported on Roy Street. The tenant was reportedly rude and uncooperative, telling the officer and landlord to get a warrant before shutting the door on them.
- At 10:15 p.m., police responded to a report of an unopened shoe box in the ladies room. The employees was advised to have everyone go outside. The fire department was notified. It turned out it was an empty shoe box.

- At 6:06 a.m, police helped Lynn police with an incident over the Lynn line.
- At 8:16 a.m., police were notified of a domestic situation at a Bar Link Way residence.
- At 11:29 a.m., a student was transported from 200 Essex St., the high school, to the hospital for an injured leg, possibly broken.
- At 3:24 p.m., police received a report of a shoplifter at Marshalls who left the store on a bicycle headed toward Salem.
- At 6:42 p.m., police received a report of a big raccoon walking up stairs at a Walker Road residence.
