The Aftermath: What's Open and When on Wednesday

For residents with kids in Swampscott Public Schools, Wednesday will still be a bit atypical since the schools are closed again on Jan. 28. For everyone else, however, things are starting to get back to normal.

Below is a snapshot of what you need to know on Wednesday.

Travel ban:

• Ends at midnight

Schools:

• Swampscott Public Schools are closed Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Parking ban:

• No street parking until noon Wednesday.

Trash, recyling pickup

• From the Reading town website: “Rubbish and recycling pickup scheduled for Tuesday through the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day.” Tuesday folks, Wednesday is your day.

Town offices:

• An announcement had not been made as of 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Swampscott Public Library

• CLOSED on Wednesday.

To do:

• Clear a three-foot area around any fire hydrants in your yard.
• Clear snow from exhaust pipes of vehicles BEFORE starting them.
• Clear snow from your furnace exhaust area.
• Check on your neighbors.
