Alleged Drunk Driver Arrested After Driving on Wrong Side of Humphrey Street

Friday, Dec. 26
At 9:08 a.m., police responded to Walker Road about a suspicious man with no shoes or shorts on walking in the woods. The man left before police arrived.
At 1:59 p.m., a Cherry Street resident reported a larceny.

Saturday, Dec. 27
At 5:46 p.m., a person reported that her cell phone was taken from her backpack while she was shopping at Marshalls.

Sunday, Dec. 28
At 1:15 a.m., police arrested Hector Ruiz, 57, 24 Tileston St., Everett, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, negligently operating a motor vehicle and drinking alcohol from an open container in a motor vehicle. Police arrested Ruiz after he was seen driving on the wrong side of the road on Humphrey Street.
At 11:27 a.m., a Pine Street resident reported seeing a white substance flowing in the gutter in front of his house. Police arrived and found it was latex paint.
At 6:18 p.m., police arrested Matthew Sinclair, 34, 1 Willow Ave., Salem, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (second offense), negligently operating a motor vehicle, resisting arrest and drinking alcohol from an open container in a motor vehicle. Police made the arrest after Sinclair’s vehicle reportedly struck the back of a police cruiser that was stopped at a red light at Danvers Road and Essex Street.
