Friday, July 5

  • At 00:45 a.m., a Hillside Avenue caller reported a man going in and out of yards. Police checked the area but the person was gone upon their arrival.
  • At 5:41 a.m., a caller reported an injured seagull on Humphrey Street by the monument.
  • At 8:20 a.m., a resident complained about an ongoing land dispute. The contractor was on the scene. The officer reported that the job was shut down.
  • At 3:26 p.m., police received a report of a person fishing near swimmers. The person agreed to fish when fewer people are around.
  • At 6:22 p.m., a minor motor vehicle accident was reported in front of the high school.
  • At 7:45 p.m., police were investigating a suspect in a drug case on Burrill Street.
  • At 8:20 p.m., an injured seagull was reported by the water near the Red Rock Bistro. The animal control officer will respond later.

Saturday, July 6

  • At 12:28 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Humphrey Street. A child was in the car.
  • At 12:47 p.m., a Stetson Avenue resident reported the house was broken into.
  • At 1:47 p.m., kids were jumping off the pier at Fisherman’s Beach. The kids were removed.
  • At 3:59 p.m., police charged Richard Greenwood, 46, of 74 Rockland St., Swampscott with domestic assault and battery and witness intimidation.
  • At 5:33 p.m., motor vehicles were tagged for parking violations on Shepard Avenue and surrounding streets.
