This new group will learn the art of performing contemporary A cappella music like you see on the shows "The Sing Off" and "Glee.”
You will make music using your voices to sing vocal lines AND the instrumental parts.
Students will also learn to arrange A cappella music and choreograph. The instructor has worked with nationally acclaimed A cappella groups.
Practices will be held Monday/Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Swampscott Senior Center starting June 27.
This session will run five weeks and students will perform a concert at the end of July.
The workshop is open to Swampscott High School students (entering 9th through 12th grades).
There are no prerequisites to participate except a love of making music and willingness to try something new!
Cost of session: $75.
