Catch Orchid Fever at Upcoming Presentation

The North Shore Orchid Society will present information on the culture and gorwing of orchids on Sept. 15 at the Swampscott library.

Orchid enthusiasts can learn how to grow and care for orchids on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the , Burrill Street, from 10:30 am to 1 pm.

Come to the informative presentation on the culture and growing of orchids sponsored by North Shore Orchid Society of Swampscott.

Guest lecturer is Bob Richter, who has been growing orchids for over 30 years, and has 3,000 orchids in his greenhouse, will present an introduction to enjoying & growing Orchids!

The presentation will include: Basic Care (Learn how their needs differ from other houseplants), water & light requirements, repotting and Growing an Orchid Collection. 

Bob will answer all your orchid questions and will have orchids for sale.

Once you start, you may find orchid growing to be a fabulous addiction! 

Pre-registration for the seminar is $30 until Sept. 5, 2012.

 Checks should be sent to Brenda Samiljan, 51 Cavendish Circle, Salem, MA 01970 and be made payable to the North Shore Orchid Society. 

On the day of the event the cost will be $35. Registration includes this wonderful presentation, coffee, sandwiches, desserts, and the 2012-2013 membership to North Shore Orchid Society’s monthly meetings. 

The NSOS monthly meetings feature speakers or programs that will help members learn more about the rewarding hobby of growing orchids, raffles, refreshments and an Orchid Show Table for members to bring beautiful blooming orchids for all members to enjoy.
