Community Cookout, Swampscott, July 5th

The First Church in Swampscott (40 Monument Avenue) is again hosting a cookout in conjunction with the Strawberry Festival and hometown parade on Sunday, July 5th, beginning at 4 PM. The cookout will feature lobster rolls, hamburgers, sausages, and hotdogs along with a number of tasty sides. Weather permitting, attendees will enjoy al fresco dining on the church lawn, overlooking the lovely Olmstead Historic District, on one of the most festive days of the year. In the event of rain, the event may be postponed (along with the other events). Proceeds from the cookout will once again benefit the One Bed for Every Child program, sponsored by the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless based in Lynn.
