CONCERT SINGERS ANNOUNCE OPEN REHEARSALS FOR THIRTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY SEASON - BEST OF BROADWAY

CONCERT SINGERS – OPEN REHEARSALS – BEST OF BROADWAY
The Concert Singers continue celebrating their 35th Anniversary Season with open rehearsals for their Spring Concerts. Music Director William Sano has chosen the theme “Best of Broadway”. The concerts will feature selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story, Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I and The sound of Music as well as medleys from A Chorus Line and Godspell.
Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 7:30pm at the Unitarian-Universalist Church, 101 Forest Avenue, Swampscott, MA. January 6, 13, and 20 are “open rehearsals” where prospective members may come and try out the music, meet chorus members and consider joining us. There is no obligation to pay dues or purchase music during the open rehearsal period. On January 27th the membership list will be closed for the season. Membership dues are $20.00 for the entire semester and the cost of music is minimal.
The concerts are scheduled for Friday evening, May 1, 2015 in Swampscott and Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2015 in Lynn.
