Did Gap Store Robber Return to Scene?
The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Oct. 22
- 9:03 a.m., a Shepard Avenue resident reported a person who use to work for the family was on the property and they wanted him removed. Swampscott police removed the person.
- 10:06 a.m., one motor vehicle was ticketed and two others were moved at the railroad depot.
- 1:06 p.m., Olympia Sports at the Swampscott Mall reported that a woman with two children stole a Red Sox shirt and left in an Acura.
- 6:25 p.m., a bike was reported missing from the bike rack at the railroad station.
- 8:16 a.m., police ticketed two vehicles on Maple Avenue.
- 8:50 a.m., police tagged a vehicle on Columbia Street and a vehicle on the beach.
- 10:53 a.m., an identification theft was reported to police.
- 12:40 p.m., a person who was possibly intoxicated was in Wholefoods Market. A friend gave the person a ride home.
- 5:22 p.m., a caller from The Gap, at the Swampscott Mall, reported that the person who had committed an armed robbery there two months ago was in the store. The person left prior to police's arrival. Store staff was not sure it was the same person.
- 7:59 p.m., a Puritan Road caller reported her adult son was out of control and damaging the residence. The man was transported to Salem Hospital.
