Dog Owner Needs Rescue after Trying to Save Dog from Marsh

Friday, Feb. 27
At 5:02 p.m., the fire department responded to a report of a dog owner who attempted to rescue his dog from a marsh and became stuck himself.
At 8:37 p.m., mailbox damage was reported.

At 9:06 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop for speeding, an RMV check revealed the registration had been revoked for a bad check. The vehicle was towed and the owner was issued a summons.

At 8:12 a.m., a woman reported her husband took the dog out the night before and didn’t return.
At 11:58 a.m., woman was arrested following a suspected shoplifting incident at Marshall’s. Stefani Maragni, 30, of Lynn was charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
At 2:05 p.m., a mailman reported being trapped in his truck by a black dog running circles around the vehicle.
At 6:25 p.m., a report came in from the Swampscott Mall that two black men had stolen headphones.
At 9:47 p.m., Police stopped a motor vehicle for having no taillights or license plate light. The driver was subsequently arrested. Carlos Lopez, 29, of Lynn was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation, a lights violation and a number plate violation. He was also found to have two outstanding warrants: unlicensed operation and failure to stop/yield.
