Larceny of $15,000 Silver Set

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 14

  • 5:06 a.m., a Rockland Street resident fell and was transported to the hospital with a leg injury.
  • 10:15 a.m., a caller reported his ex-girlfriend was outside his parents' house on The Greenway. The ex was gone upon police's arrival.
  • 12:01 p.m., a possible water main break was reported on Lincoln House Avenue. DPW was notified.
  • 12:12 p.m., a Littles Point Lane resident reported stolen items and stolen medication.
  • 5:22 p.m., a stray dog was returned to the owner's house on Eastman's Avenue.
Tuesday, Oct. 15
  • 7:58 a.m., a minor accident involving a school bus with children aboard took place at Burrill Street and Columbia Street. No injuries were reported.
  • 1:04 p.m., a man was reportedly asking people for money at Five Burgers and Fries because his roommates kicked him out of the residence.
  • 4:29 p.m., water was reportedly coming through a Winshaw Roard property and into the street. A pipe was possibly broken.
  • 5:27 p.m., a Pine Hill Road resident reported a silver-plated silverware set valued at $15,000 was missing.
  • 8:16 p.m., a Cherry street resident reported an animal was outside her house trying to attack her cat. It was unknown what kind of animal it was.
Wednesday, Oct. 16
  • 00:01 a.m., police tried to serve a restraining order to a New Ocean Street resident but there was no answer at the door.
