'Large Amount Of Items' Stolen From Grocery Store

At 1:03 a.m., larceny of a yellow figure on Rockland Street was reported. The report turned out to be unfounded.

At 5:38 a.m., a motor vehicle alarm was investigated on Paradise Road.

At 10:15 a.m., a caller reported a bicycle had been left at his property on Essex Street.

At 12:03 p.m., a caller asked that police document “suspicious activity” in her secure building during the overnight hours.

At 4:43 p.m., Stop and Shop reported theft of a “large amount of items.” The suspect was described as a black male who got into a commercial van and headed toward Essex Street.

At 7:31 p.m., a short man with a beard and wearing a black hoodie was reported to have shoplifted from the Swampscott Mall.

At 1:07 a.m., a caller reported hearing an animal crying continuously for about 10 minutes.
