The following information was submitted by the Swampscott Police Department. Where harges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police Department's log:
Wednesday, June 12:
- At 00:25 a.m., police checked Machon School and noted that a first-floor window was broken, leaving the building unsecure. DPW was to be notified.
- At 8:28 a.m., a Phillips Avenue resident reported property damage resulting from a company's work on a neighbor's property. Police notified the parties involved and a report was to be filed.
- At 8:55 a.m., an Essex Street resident told police that she was concerned about the condition of the utiltiy police in front of her house. Police checked the pole to see if Verizon should be notified. Verizon was notified.
- At 9:29 a.m., a person reported being bitten by a dog at Dead Eye Run and Dory Way. The person does not require medical attention but wants the incident reported.
- At 9:41 a.m., a Phillips Avenue resident reported being threatened by a contractor at neighbor's property.
- At 10:07 a.m., a dog walker at Phillips Beach reportedly was ignoring a Board of Health order to vacate the beach with his dog.The dog walker was gone upon police's arrival.
- At 11:39 a.m., police stood by to keep the peace at Curry Circle while a resident got some of her belongings.
- At 1:50 p.m., police were notified by a Redington Street man that his niece was suppose to show up at his house and she was not wanted there.
- At 2:06 p.m., police received a report of water flooding parts of Humphrey Street. The caller thought it was a water main break but it appeared that it was overflow from a swamp. The Department of Public Works was checking it out.
- At 2:47 p.m., Marshalls department store reported a shoplifter had left the store after hiding merchandise under his clothes and he was now at the bus stop.
- At 3:03 p.m., a caller reported vandalism to her property on Burrill Street.
