Motorcyclist With No Clothes Reported Swampscott Bound

The following information was submitted by the Swampscott Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, June 22

  • At 9:17 a.m., police received word of a drunk man in a white vehicle parked at Cherry Court. The man was gone upon police’s arrival.
  • At 10:30 a.m., a person came to the police station to report a motor vehicle breaking and entering on Valley Road.
  • At 10:41 a.m., a caller asked police to remove people fishing from the pier at Fisherman’s Beach for violating a town by-law. The fishermen were advised.
  • At 11:31 a.m., police received a report of a possible rabid raccoon on Burpee Road. The raccoon took off into another yard and authorities were unable to locate the animal.
  • At 11:47 a.m., a motor vehicle accident was reported, a rear-ending, on Salem Street.
  • At 1:13 p.m., EMS was notified that a person in front of a Burrill Street residence said he was having suicidal thoughts.
  • At 6:45 p.m., kids were reportedly under the bleachers at the football field at Phillips Park.
  • At 8:09 p.m., police received a report of an argument outside a Pleasant Street home. Someone outside a black Jeep was yelling at someone inside a house.

Sunday, June 23:

  • At 8:55 a.m., police received a report of vandalism at the high school.
  • At 11:45 a.m., police received a report of a motorcyclist wearing no clothing and headed towards Swampscott from Lynn on Essex Street. (According to police the motorcyclist was not seen entering Swampscott.)
  • At 4:13 p.m., police received a report of a motorbike being operated on the rubber track behind the high school, Upper Jackson.
  • At 5:59 p.m., the assistant harbormaster reported that some very young kids were jumping from the pier without adult supervision. They refused the assistant’s direction to stop jumping. Police advised the youth not to jump off the pier anymore.
  • At 6:27 p.m., police received a report that people were inside a Columbia Street business, Fiory’s Fitness, stealing equipment.
  • At 8:12 p.m., a person came to the police station and reported a past assault.
