One Man Charged With OUI and Another With Drug Possession
The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police logs. Where charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, May 4
- At 11:35 a.m., A Rockland Street caller reported two men going door to door soliciting. The caller said one of them attempted to gain entry to the caller's motor vehicle. The incident was called in an hour after it happened.
- At 12:21 p.m., a woman fell on her face at Stop & Shop. The person refused transport for medical treatment.
- At 5:13 p.m., a Walker Road caller reported a homeowner was burning items in the yard.

- At 1:04 a.m., police charged Stephen Gill, 23, of 29 Maude St., Lowell, with OUI liquor, marked lane violations and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
- At 12:15 p.m., a person came into the station and reported that she had been threatened by her brother-in-law the night before and wanted to make a report.
- At 12:54 p.m., a caller reported she had a restraining order against her husband and this was the day that she was scheduled to retrieve her property from Shackle Way. She requested a police escort to the home to make sure the defendent leaves while she retrieves her belongings.
- At 5:46 p.m., suspicious people seen on Roy Street property.
Monday, May 6
- At 9:57 a.m, police were called to keep the peace while the fire department and building department inspected a rental unit on Roy Street. The landlord and tenant were on the scene.
- At 1:57 p.m., a Roy Street caller reported his landlord was sitting in her motor vehicle in the driveway and the tenant believed he was being harassed.

- At 7:07 a.m., a motor vehicle break-in was reported at Chandler Terrace.
- At 7:48 a.m., a man was reportedly possibly smoking marijuana in front of the Dunkin' Donuts on Paradise Road.
- At 4:49 p.m. police charged Charles Manracchia, 54, 31 Brittania Circle, Salem, with drug possession, Class B, marked lane violation, negligent operation of a vehicle, failing to stop for police, failing to yield, speeding and not being in possession of a license.
