OUI on Essex Street

The following information came from the Swampscott Police Department. Where charges are listed, they do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 24

  • 00:18 a.m., at Essex Street and Essex Terrace police stopped Lindsay Lehman, 32, of  214 Pearl St., Malden, charging the motorist with OUI, speeding, a marked lane violation and negligent operation.
  • 8:22 a.m., police ticketed a vehicle on Columbia Street.
  • 10:40 a.m., a Ryan Place resident said a neighbor was tearing down his fence.
  • 12:24 p.m., police went to a Burrill Street residence to tell a man that he will be summonsed for trespassing at the high school.
  •  2:31 p.m., a resident reported a breaking and entering to their Thomas Street home.
  • 2:44 p.m., a breaking and entering was reported on Elmwood Road.
  • 3:39 p.m., an Elmwood Road resident reported coming home and finding it ransacked — a breaking and entering.
Friday, Oct. 25
  • 1:27 a.m., a caller said glue was inserted in a key slot at a Columbia Street business.
  • 3:45 p.m., a Puritan Road resident reported a breaking and entering.
  • 4:17 p.m., a breaking and entering was reported at another Puritan Road home.
  • 8:37 p.m., An MBTA person reported a disorderly person aboard an inbound train. The unruly passenger was picked up by a taxi.
  • 10:59 p.m., a caller reported what looked to be a boat on fire off Phillips Beach. No further information was available.
