Swimmer Pulled From Pool at Marblehead YMCA
A 47-year-old man was rushed to the hospital Monday night after being taken from the pool at the Leggs Hill YMCA.
A man was rushed to the hospital by ambulance late Monday night after being taken out of the pool at the Lynch van Otterloo YMCA.
Shortly after 9 p.m., Salem firefighters and police officers responded to a reported emergency in the pool area of the Leggs Hill Road YMCA in Marblehead.
According to YMCA Executive Director Scott Hitchcock, a 47-year-old man was swimming laps in the pool when a guard on duty noticed that he stopped moving forward.

A pair of lifeguards reportedly pulled the man from the pool and administered CPR until paramedics arrived.
The man has not yet been identified and his condition is unknown.
