Shoplifting Reported at Two Swampscott Grocery Stores

Sunday, Jan. 11

At 10:32 a.m., report of a landscaping truck parked on the track at the high school athletic fields.

At 1:35 p.m., a witness reported shoplifting at Stop & Shop.

At 2:18 p.m., a shoplifter was reported at Whole Foods Market. The suspect, described as a woman wearing a gray sweatshirt and having black hair, left in a taxi.

At 7:15 p.m., a woman came into the station to report that someone had apparently removed her basement window. No entry had been gained.

Monday, Jan. 12

At 2:02 p.m., an officer found an unsecured door at Hadley Elementary School. The officer secured the door and all appeared to be in order.

At 5:45 a.m., a caller reported two suspicious men in a pickup truck and possibly looking in trash on Burpee Road. The truck was gone upon police arrival.
