In Support of Peter Spellios for Selectman
Numerous residents came together to submit the following letter.

To the Editor,
We the undersigned would like to convey our unqualified support for Peter Spellios in his bid for a seat on the Swampscott Board of Selectmen. We have participated in various ways in town government or community life and each of us has come to know Peter through those activities. We believe Peter Spellios possesses the skills, experience, knowledge and desire to help lead Swampscott into the future.
No one who has dealt with Peter during his 12 years of involvement in town government has ever come away mystified as to where Peter stands or what he believes in. Once he has listened to all sides of an issue, done his own due diligence, and taken the requisite time to formulate an informed opinion, Peter is direct in conveying his thoughts and sentiments.

Even better, he has not shirked from agreeing to be part of solutions, spending considerable time and energy on important efforts to review three of Swampscott’s most important ordinances of governance, the Zoning By-Law, the General By-Laws, and the Town Charter. His serious involvement in key issues facing Swampscott , and his service to Town Meeting and the Zoning Board of Appeals give Peter Spellios a deep understanding of the functioning of our government. This combination of a clear, methodical thought process, the inclination to take decisive action on problems, and a formidable knowledge base give Peter the leadership qualities we all look for from our Selectmen.
We believe what Swampscott needs right now is clear, decisive leadership. We urge Swampscott citizens to take the opportunity to get to know Peter Spellios over the coming months by visiting the web site SpelliosforSwampscott.com or by calling any of the signatories below. As part of the effort to move Swampscott forward, Peter will also be out and about in the community trying to get to know all of you. We believe that once you meet Peter Spellios, you will agree with us that he is the leader Swampscott needs and that you will vote for him for Selectman on April 28.
