Swampscott To Offer Free Coronavirus Testing As Schools Reopen
The drive-thru testing is open to Swampscott residents of all ages with students returning to in-classroom learning encouraged to be tested.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — As Swampscott prepares to reopen schools to in-person learning next month there will be free coronavirus testing for residents of all ages starting Wednesday.
Parents are encouraged to have their children returning to the school buildings tested at the drive-thru testing site on Monument Avenue Wednesdays and Fridays throughout October.
No pre-registration is necessary.

The testing will be 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the First Congressional Church parking lot. Vehicles should enter the driveway directly in front of the church from the Monument Avenue entrance.
Drivers waiting in line are asked to park their cars in the line, and keep face masks on, while someone from the testing site approaches the vehicle and takes information for on-site registration.

The "less-invasive nasal swab" will be used for this testing.
