UPDATED: Swampscott PD Assists With Lynn Line Shooting

Swampscott police assisted Lynn police at the scene of a shooting this morning over the town line.

The scene was the last house in Lynn before Swampscott, according to police.

The scene of the shooting, at 56 Hillside Ave., a residential street off Essex Street, was cordoned off by crime tape early this afternoon, according to the Lynn Item. 

The report, from about 5:50 a.m., indicated an assault weapon was used and that 21 shell casings were found at the scene.

The shooting is being investigated by Lynn police, according to Swampscott police.
