Blaney Street Man Charged With Assault and Battery on a Child

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police Department's log:
Thursday, Feb. 6:
- At 4:46 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Paradise Road involving an 83-year-old.
- At 4:53 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Burrill Street.
- At 7:24 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Puritan Road.
- At 8:07 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Salem Street.
- At 11:33 a.m., police responded to a report of a loose manhole cover on Puritan Road.
- At 11:41 a.m., police responded to a report of a past domestic assault and battery. Jochy Sanchez, 34, of 27 Blaney St., Swampscott, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a child under 14.
- At 12:04 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Essex Street.
- At 12:36 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lodge Road.
- At 1:02 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Galloupes Point Road.
- At 3:00 p.m., police responded to a report of snowballers on Forest Avenue.
- At 3:12 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Vantage Terrace.
- At 4:26 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Galloupes Point Road.
- At 6:54 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Blaney Street.
- At 9:47 p.m., police responded to a disturbance on New Ocean Street. Louis Marifiote, 53, of 584 Saratoga St., East Boston, was arrested on charges of violating an abuse prevention order and trespassing.
Friday, Feb. 7:
- At 3:14 a.m., police conducted a well-being check near the intersection of Elmwood Road and Paradise Road.
- At 3:56 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery near the intersection of Curry Circle and New Ocean Street. (Editor's Note: There was no additional information available on this entry, we will be posting more information as it is released.)
