Driver Crashes into House on Puritan Road

The following is an excerpt from the Swampscott Police Department's log: 

Monday, Feb 24

  • At 12:16 a.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Essex Street.
  • At 7:23 a.m., police and fire units responded to a report of a car into a house near the intersection of Puritan Road and Willow Terrace. There were no reported injuries and there was little structural damage to the building.
  • At 10:36 a.m., a resident called police to report that a woman was being assaulted by a man inside of a vehicle on Essex Street. The caller said the man punched the woman and slapped coffee out of her hand.
  • At 11:49 a.m., police responded to a report of a dog running in and out of traffic on Puritan Road. Police were unable to locate the animal.
  • At 3:11 p.m., police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident in the Whole Foods parking lot on Paradise Road.
  • At 4:10 p.m., police responded to a medical emergency on Paradise Road.
  • At 8:09 p.m., an Atlantic Avenue resident called police to report a missing person.
  • At 10:08 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Essex Street.
  • At 10:14 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Burrill Street.

Tuesday, Feb. 25

  • At 5:13 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Burrill Street.
