Swampscott PorchFest Set To Return For 2023
Registration is now open for the expanded event set for Sept. 23.
SWAMPSCOTT, MA — Swampscott is expanding its annual PorchFest for 2023 with more performances planned as well as a food truck on site.
This year's event is set for Sept. 23 from noon to 6 p.m.
Those interested in performing as an individual or band, or serving as a host porch for a musical act, are asked to register by the Aug. 31 deadline.

Swampscott ReachArts is organizing the event and is accepting applications here.
PorchFest events include a tour of households in a city or town hosting outdoor music in a day of coordinated performances.

While many cities and towns have had them for years, they gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic when indoor gatherings were either restricted or discouraged and outdoor events were considered a safer alternative for those who wanted to socialize within the community.
