Swampscott Snow Emergency Parking Ban Begins Sunday

All vehicles must be removed from public streets or be subject to ticketing and towing.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — A snow emergency parking ban will go into effect in Swampscott on Sunday at 9 a.m. ahead of the impending storm.

All vehicles parked on public streets at that time are subject to being ticketed and towed.

The parking ban is set to expire on Tuesday at 7 a.m.

Beginning at 9 a.m., residents may park their cars in the lot at Phillips Park and the Hawthorne parking lot if off-street parking is not available.

Vehicles must be removed from those lots by 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Massachusetts from 7 a.m. Sunday to 8 p.m. Monday. Total snow accumulations between 13 and 19 inches are forecast, according to the latest updates from the National Weather Service on Saturday.

Winds gusting as high as 35 mph, according to the weather service.
