Tax Help Available at the Swampscott Library

Appointments are necessary and can be scheduled beginning Monday, Jan. 26.

The Swampscott Public Library wants to make sure tax season is a bit less stressful for some residents.

Volunteers from AARP’s Tax Aide Program will be at the library Tuesday afternoons beginning Feb. 3 to help people with lower incomes, particularly the elderly, fill out state and federal income tax forms. The assistance will be available weekly through April 14.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling the library at 781-596-8867 ext. 304 beginning Monday, Jan. 26.

Individuals should bring their completed 2013 tax forms, identification, Social Security card, W-2s and 1099s, and any other pertinent forms or statements to their appointments.
