VIDEO: Bell Ringers Need More Hands

A small group makes lovely handbell music each Thursday at the Unitarian Universalist Church.

About a year ago the ladies who make up the group restored the tradition of handbell ringing at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn, located in Swampscott.

Each Thursday they remove leather-handled bells from cases and ring out music. Notes, chords, alternating chords.

The rehearsing and combining of rings give them joy. They have performed at the church but the consistent pleasure they enjoy comes from ringing on Thursday afternoons during rehearsal.
