2 Charged In Drug Case In Tewksbury: Police

Two people were arrested after police found cocaine and methamphetamine in a car Monday night, according to police.

TEWKSBURY, MA — Two people are facing drug-dealing accusations after being arrested in Tewksbury, according to police.

The Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit was in the area of Ames Hill Road on Monday at 8:40 p.m. when they saw what appeared to be a drug deal involving a 2011 white BMW.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop and identified the driver as Favio Garcia, 35, of Lowell, and the passenger as Michaela Ryan, 22, of Tewksbury.

Police searched the car and said they found multiple clear bags of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine, multiple orange-colored pills, and more than $500 cash.

Ryan also had two clear baggies of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine.

In total police recovered 7.7 grams of what was determined to be cocaine. The orange pills were determined to be methamphetamine.

Garcia was charged with distribution of a class B drug, possession with intent to distribute a class B drug (cocaine), and possession with intent to distribute a class B drug (methamphetamine).

Ryan was charged with possession with intent to distribute a class B drug.

Both were expected to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Tuesday.
