A Flurry of Activity at Trull Brook Throughout the Winter
Sledding isn't the only thing that will pass the time in the off-season at the golf course and tennis center.
may be closed for the winter but there are numerous activities still going on there.
“A lot of people still go out there (in the winter) and they snow-shoe, and they ,” said Lorraine Trull, co-owner of Trull Brook Golf Course and Tennis Center. “For generations, people have done that ... we don’t charge for that, and we don’t allow snowmobiles or anything motorized out there.”
One of the major sledding hills at the Trull Brook Golf Course is Mill Hill at the top of Hood Road. According to Trull, patrons will park their cars on Hood Road and cut through neighbors’ yards in order to get to the hill. Trull emphasized that the Trull Brook Golf Course and Tennis Center advises against this, as certain neighbors are unappreciative of this activity.

Snow activities are the not the only activities that people can engage in during the winter, however.
“What is open all year round is the Tennis Center,” said Trull. “We have four courts and utilize all of them.”

Trull said the Tennis Center resurfaced the floors in August of 2010, so the floors are US Open colors now. The center is a United States Tennis Association (USTA) member.
“The biggest association in the United States,” said Trull.
These indoor courts are open to the public, and there is no membership fee for court-time.
Activities include Men’s Round Robins, Women’s Round Robins, and Mixed Doubles Round Robins.
“All you do is show up with your racket and we do the rest for you,” said Trull.
Additionally, Trull also said that the Tennis Center offers tennis lessons for all ages, from Beginner to Advanced.
