Business Partners Looking to Infuse Clients With Health, Happiness
"Be Fit and Be Happy" is the motto for Tewksbury's Rose Ryan and her business partners.
When Tewksbury resident Rose Ryan and her two partners Heather Lowe and Emily Viera decided to open Body Infusion by H.E.R. in Wilmington they knew that they wanted it to be more than simply a fitness center.
With over thirty years of combined fitness instruction experience these ladies had spent more than their share of time teaching fitness. All three had worked together in the past and shared many of the same beliefs about leading others in fitness.
“I’ve been teaching for around 15 years,” said Ryan. “I truly do teach because I love it.”

For years Lowe and Ryan ran the program at another fitness center and they often discussed opening their own center. Eventually Viera joined the team and they knew that they had found the right group to make Body Infusion a reality.
As Lowe explained, “Five years ago I wondered if we could ever do this, three years ago Heather and I discussed it, two years ago Emily joined us and today it is a reality.”

Sounds easy enough but, reality is, the fitness business isn’t always an easy one. Ryan understands that many people simply think of fitness centers as a place to lose weight and that is a perception that she would love to change. “Body Infusion isn’t about weight loss,” she mentioned. “It’s about happiness and health.”
For Lowe success as an instructor isn’t necessarily about a how many inches a client has lost on their waistline but, instead it’s about how much they have gained in their lives. “I recently had a woman is class tell me that attending my classes helped her cope while her husband underwent cancer treatments,” remarked Lowe. “Making that kind of a difference to people is why I teach.”
As a local mother of two children in elementary school, Lowe understands the kind of pressure that parents are under these days. Lowe realizes that fitness isn’t always a priority and strives to help people realize how important it is to get out and move. “I never walk into a class thinking that “I don’t really want to teach today.” She mentioned. “My goal is to never have a client walk out thinking ‘I really wish I didn’t do that today.”
The center might be named Body Infusion by H.E.R. but, reality is, this fitness center caters to everyone. The name H.E.R. actually evolved as a shortened version of the partners’ names, Heather, Emily and Rose and doesn’t mean that Body Infusion isn’t for Men also.
With classes that cater to women, men, teens and even kids Body Infusion has something to offer to the whole family. They offer both private one on one and group training sessions and Baby Sitting is available. Classes include everything from “Body Infusion” their signature Barre class, to “Glute Camp,” “Tabata,” “Cardio Boxing,” “Outdoor Bootcamp,” and “TRX.”
All in all Lowe and her partners strive to create an environment where people can find the fitness niche that fits their needs. Lowe stresses that “fitness is for everyone. All you need to do is move.”
